Training Services:

Utility Training Programs AMS Utiliserv understands that an initial commitment to properly training new readers will provide huge returns to both you and to AMS. We know that it’s worth the extra effort to do it right the first time. Lower turnover, improved performance, less frustration: these are real benefits that we know to expect.

We begin the building of a new reader by carefully screening and qualifying our applicants.

Our initial training program is documented by the use of an Employee Training Checklist. This extensive process includes videos, computer-based training, use of the handheld computer, and hands-on field training with an experienced reader or lead. No reader will be allowed to read alone until satisfactory completion of all aspects of training.

The training does not end after this initial period. Periodically all readers are required to review one-on-one with their supervisors all operational aspects of their performance. This review is comprehensive and documented.

Finally, AMS Utiliserv conducts regular supervisor training programs for new supervisors or more experienced readers. “AMS U” has been a very popular offering among our more ambitious readers.
